AM700 Audio Measurement Set User Manual
Controlling Plotted Data
Use the selections in the Plot Control screen to control the plotted trace displays (see
Figure 4-24).
Check the Enable soft key in the Plot controls menu to enable the measurement.
Specify the number of traces to keep for a historical display. Touch the History soft
key and enter a value (0 to 4) with the keypad or by turning the control knob. The
history setting determines how many previous data traces are displayed. As a new
traces is acquired, the last acquired trace becomes a history trace. When the history
count is filled the oldest history trace is erased to make room for a newer one.
NOTE. Unsettled data points that are shown as unfilled circles rather than as filled
points are not saved in history traces.
If History is set to zero, touching the Begin New Plot soft key causes the Audio
Analyzer to erase the current plot and plot any incoming data on a blank display. If
History is set to any value except zero, touching the Begin New Plot soft key causes
the Audio Analyzer to convert the current trace to a historical trace and plot any
incoming data to a new trace.
NOTE. Touching the Begin New Plot soft key causes the Audio Analyzer to begin a
new plot, but that does not begin a new sweep. You must press the Sweep/Run
front-panel button to begin a new sweep.
If Sweep Detection is enabled (see Figure 4-25 on page 4-62), it is not necessary to
touch the Begin New Plot soft key before a new sweep begins; a new plot is started
automatically when the start of a new sweep is detected.
