Audio Generator
AM700 Audio Measurement Set User Manual
4-17
If necessary, select the desired waveform from the Waveform pop-up selection. Set
the amplitude or frequency by turning the front panel Amplitude or Frequency knob,
as appropriate, or activate the field editor by touching it. With the field editor active,
you can rotate the large control knob to change the value in the field. You can also
enter the desired value in the active window from the keypad. Press Enter or touch
the field editor to accept the changes.
Waveform Control
Touch the soft key to display the Waveform Control screen (see Figure 4-6). Menus
in this screen apply only to the parameters of the selected generator (the one that has
the diamond highlighted at the top of the display). The generators being edited are
indicated at the top of the display. In Figure 4-6 the generators for which choices
can be made are the Analog High Resolution Generator and the AES Digital
Generator. If Analog A is generating a sine wave, then the available waveform
control parameters are frequency and amplitude. However, if you touch the Digital
SF 1 soft key and the digital generator is generating another type of waveform the
parameters accessible in the Waveform Control screen may change, depending on
the waveform being generated.
NOTE. Sine wave only can be used for generating a sweep signal. If a sweep is
wanted from a particular generator, it must be set to generate a sine wave signal
either in the Waveform Control menu or in the Generator Control panel.
